14. Which translated Dietary Alert Card should I order for the country I am travelling to or eating in?
This international information service can advise you on the languages spoken in different countries and regions throughout the world to help you choose the most helpful translation of your gluten-free or other special diet.
Even if you don't have a Dietary Alert Card in the first local language, it is well worth carrying a card in an international language. English is widely understood especially in the tourist industry abroad, but presenting a printed English explanation of your food allergy or sensitivity is much less risky (and more discreet) than trusting a foreign waiter to understand your dialect and verbally convey your needs to the kitchen.
